From 2007 to 2012, after completing a challenging two year curriculum in TMJ and full mouth occlusal rehabilitation which resulted in a Fellowship award, Dr. Larson was awarded a clinical instructor position at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI) where he mentored and trained hundreds of dentists across the world. In 2013, he achieved Fellowship status with the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain and began his current Board certifications.

As a craniofacial pain and dental sleep medicine expert, Dr. Larson helps patients find the ideal physiologic rest position for their jaws to alleviate pain and discomfort associated with the TMJ and partners with physicians to treat Obstructive Sleep Apnea and snoring. When a patient’s teeth and jaw are out of harmony, the patient can experience head, neck, back and ear pain. Dr. Larson believes with the correct diagnosis, treatment and care these problems can be corrected. He also provides highly specialized regenerative treatments such as Prolotherapy and Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) to stimulate TMJ bone and cartilage healing, Trigger Point injections to eliminate muscle pain, and nasal breathing retraining to relax the Central nervous system.
Dr. Larson is also passionate about bringing his patients the highest level of quality and service that modern techniques and technology can provide. He has recruited a highly trained team who understands his commitment to excellence. Dr. Larson and his team are excited to bring their knowledge, expertise and smiling faces to the Carolinas and out of state patients. The Center for TMJ and Sleep Apnea Team strives to make personal relationships with their patients, and they know positive patient experience is the ultimate measure of a practice. Dr. Larson loves his work. He loves relieving years of headaches and jaw pain, advocating for superb oral health, and encouraging each individual’s total well-being.
Dr. Larson has earned 3 Board Certifications with the American Board of Craniofacial Pain, (DABCP), American Board of Craniofacial Dental Sleep Medicine (DABCSM), and American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine (ABDSM). For fun, he studied 330 hours and recertified in his first job title after college, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).

When he isn’t treating patients, Dr. Larson enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and their two daughters.
